Often as adults, we have negative feelings about ourselves.
Many times these feelings are rooted in events that lead all the way back to childhood.
These roots are directly connected to specific moments of pain and disharmony. As children, we bury these feelings because they are overwhelming, and too uncomfortable to feel. Over time, these feelings get buried so deep they are “almost” forgotten. But they are very much alive.
Defining The Moment (DTM) is a workshop that safely addresses this frozen moment, and expresses it through screenwriting. Knowing how to write is not a requirement.
Through DTM, you express this frozen moment, placing the power it held over you onto the pages of a screenplay. Through the screenplay you watch this moment from childhood like a scene from a movie. This new perspective brings understanding, and the profound truth that it wasn’t your fault.
Defining The Moment is a six-week workshop.
A small group will meet on Saturdays from 10 am - 12 pm (PST) over Zoom. Participants will finish with a screenplay of their moment professionally written, a title and their name as the author. The price of the workshop is $300, it’s on a sliding scale, you pay what you can afford at the end.
Space is limited. (Max of 6 people) Reserve your spot now with a $50 deposit.
There are many ways to address and heal trauma, I encourage you to find one. DTM is a cathartic journey, one filled with insight, creativity and hope. If you’re interested, email me and we’ll set up a call to see if Defining The Moment is right for you.
